JOB SUMMARY: Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the soft-tissues of the body. With their touch, therapists relieve pain, help rehabilitate injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Practice confidentiality and professionalism with all employee, client or business information.
Providing excellence in customer service at all times. Greeting customers and thanking them for their business.
Massage therapists may use lotions, oils and massage tables or chairs, when treating a client. Only Evexia provided equipment or product can be used. Following proper draping techniques for each Evexia client.
Follow protocol pre/post consultation and confidentially talk with clients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results.
Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule.
Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body
Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, and retail products.
Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture.
Massage therapists use touch to treat clients’ injuries and to promote general wellness. They use their hands, fingers, forearms and elbow to knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.
Massage therapist should use appropriate skill and technique relative to the client’s needs and physical condition.
Caring for linens and replacing them between sessions.
Ceasing treatment and informing supervisor in the event of inappropriate client behavior.
Following all health and safety codes and policy’s
Upholds high standards of sterilization and sanitation as required by law and the policies and procedures of the spa.
Properly cares for spa equipment and uses recommended amounts of product to help with cost control.
Interacts cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
Follows all HIPPA compliance laws. Follow all state and federal laws.
Follows all Evexia massage protocols. Check for pressure twice during massage and adjust as needed.
SOAP notes completed same day.
Sanitizes room after each client and properly shuts down all equipment upon ending your shift.
Follow all Evexia Wellness Spa policies and protocols.

Requirements
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Hold current state massage therapy license
Adhere to all current regulations and laws related to massage therapy
Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
Ability to pass a background check
